This piano was manufactured in 1921 and is in very good condition. It can be said that this is the best piano of the former East Germany, and it is the most popular piano among Japanese piano makers for its very delicate and transparent tone. It is a piano with a hollow cast-iron frame for tuning pins. Unlike the Bechstein, it is a model in which a brass plate is fitted. The exterior is painted black, but it is solid wood. At that time, Mendelssohn was in constant contact with Julius Fernando Bluthner, the founder of the Leipzig Conservatory of Music, who was the principal of the school. Bluthner responded to various advices and requests, made various improvements, obtained a patent for aliquot strings, invented a piano with sympathetic strings, put it into practical use, and won many awards at various exhibitions. Please come and visit us to hear the very beautiful tones. |
